Pat Kane on Sunday

Tioga County Council on the Arts is pleased to announce the first concert in our “Always on Sunday” concert series! Featuring popular Irish folk musician Pat Kane, the concert will be held on Sunday, January 20th at 3:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Union Church, on the corner of North Avenue and Church Street in Owego.

On fiddle, guitar, and bodhran, Kane plays jigs, reels, square dances, and hundreds of ballads from Ireland and America. He has written many fine songs and knows a host of modern selections as well. Kane is often called "the best there is" and has twice won first place for singing at the NYC Fleadh Cheoil. He has produced a good number of albums and hosts a weekly radio show in Elmira.

TCCA's "Always on Sunday” concerts are free and open to the public; however, donations are welcome. The remaining concerts in the 2013 series are:
February 17: Cobblestone Crossing
March 17: Al Hamme with Bill Carter and the Presbybop Trio
April 21: light opera and song by Tri-Cities Opera Company

All "Always on Sunday" concerts take place at the First Presbyterian Union Church. A reception with light refreshments follows each.

The “Always on Sunday” series is made possible in part with funding from the Tioga County Senior Citizens Foundation and the Cooper Foundation.
